A Client Meeting - this takes place at the outset where information about the role is gathered and discussions regarding the ideal candidate take place. This is a critical step in understanding the needs of the organisation and identifying the cultural fit of the ideal candidate. As we interview all our Candidates we are able to identify not just their technical competences but also their aspirations and personality traits, vital to a successful placement at any level.
Our Proposal - is then submitted. This contains our suggested plan of action based on our understanding of your requirements and including timescales, how we propose to attract the right applicants, advertising plans and costings. Each role is very different and there is no set formula to finding and placing the right person, we look at each assignment individually and using our experience and knowledge, suggest the best way forward.
The Selection Process - once acceptance of the proposal has been received, we start to work towards providing you with a short list of applicants. This is achieved by advertising using whichever of the following methods is most relevant: Our own website, Local/Regional/National Press, Trade Press, Online recruitment sites and Referrals. In addition to this we carry out a search of our own extensive database.. In depth Interviews are carried out and interviewer’s reports produced on each applicant.
The Short List - a subsequent meeting takes place to present our shortlist to you and talk through the candidates on that list.
Your Interviews - Having agreed the format of your interviews with you at the shortlist meeting, we make the necessary arrangements for the day and brief the candidates. We are often asked to be part of the interview panel when clients are recruiting at Executive level, there is no additional charge for this. It may be that you decide on subsequent interviews for one or two favoured candidates, and again, we make all the necessary arrangements for these.
The Offer - Once you have identified a preferred candidates, a package needs to be put together and an offer made. Many clients and candidates prefer us to be involved in this as we have extensive experience in negotiating the best package for both client and candidate ensuring that everyone is happy with the outcome.
References - We always recommend that clients take up their own verbal references and we are happy to provide contact details for these. In addition, we can also take up written references on behalf of our clients.
And Finally ……. We stay in contact with both client and candidate both during the notice period the candidate has to give and after they start their new job to ensure lines of communication are kept open and any problems are dealt with immediately.
